Since 2018, Eurovanille has been actively investing in research on vanilla cultivation.
To this end, we established a 1,000 m\u00b2 experimental greenhouse in France.<\/p>

This greenhouse faithfully replicates tropical climatic conditions, providing an ideal environment for several species of tropical vanilla orchids.<\/p>

Our ambition is to test new vanilla varieties that are more productive, more resistant to diseases, and better adapted to current climate challenges.<\/p>

Alongside vanilla specialists, we conduct applied research programs aimed at developing sustainable solutions for vanilla cultivation.<\/p>

This work not only improves the quality and traceability of vanilla pods but also helps preserve the species\u2019 genetic resources.<\/p>

The results of our research are regularly published in scientific journals, thereby contributing to the understanding of the vanilla genome and its biological mechanisms.<\/p>

Since 2016, Eurovanille has been expanding its research to gain a deeper understanding of vanilla orchid genetics.
The vanilla orchid is a tropical plant that is emblematic of the vanilla industry.<\/p>

In collaboration with CIRAD, INRAE, the University of R\u00e9union, and Paris-Saclay, we study Vanilla planifolia.
This variety is the most widely used in the vanilla industry.<\/p>

We employ cutting-edge genetic analysis technologies.
They allow us to identify the strengths and weaknesses of the vanilla orchid in relation to diseases and climate change.<\/p>
